Damien De LEPELEIRE (1965)
Damien De Lepeleire is one of the most captivating painters in our country.
At the age of 21, he won the Young Belgian Painting Prize. He is a painter but does not hesitate to use other mediums, such as sculpture, installation or writing.
He likes to draw the material for his questions from art history and sales or exhibition catalogues.
His works often take the form of successive series devoted to the different subjects he wishes to treat with the technique that seems most appropriate to him.
All of Damien De Lepeleire's work is moving, thoughtful, personal and innovative. He calls himself a disciple of Walter Swennen.
